There is a new editor at the magazine and my job is changing a bit. I guess the guy likes my style because he is giving me a regular column in every issue. He decided to call it “Wayne’s World”. What a creative genius! Oh well, he thought it was cute, and he is the boss. I appreciate the confidence that he is showing in my skill and knowledge, but things are not quite as much fun now. It used to be that an idea for an article would pop into my head, I would pitch it to the editor, and he would give it the ok. If nothing popped, nothing was submitted for that issue. Now, the pressure was on. Something had to pop or there would be a blank page in the magazine. It was almost like a real job, and I already had one of those.
